Cheburaksha Doll Making Workshop

A great opportunity for participants to expand their cultural horizons and learn about Russian traditional arts and culture making their own Cheburashka doll!

Cheburashka is a cute character from a famous Russian children’s movie and is a Russian icon. Similar to Micky Mouse, he is very famous around the world and is a part of almost every Russian-speaking persons’ childhood. During this workshop, students will make their own doll with step-by-step instruction on how to sew and assemble the doll. Students will also learn about the signifigance of Cheburashka in Russian history, film, and culture.
